Last week, Discover Singapore showcased the latest innovations passengers are experiencing at the country’s world-famous Changi Airport.

Billed as a “Theatre of Experience”, among a swathe of high-tech facilities unveiled at the newly-opened Terminal 4, we were particularly interested to see the “Automated Cleaning Aunties” roaming the baggage halls and concourses of what looks like a fabulous space.

Dressed in the same smart yellow uniforms as Changi’s cleaning team, these robot cleaners keep the terminal looking its best day and night, with intelligent features such as the detection of obstructions and automatic navigation around the terminal. The Discover Singapore team called them “adorable” and we’d have to agree!

Photos of the housekeeping robot also featured recently on CNN Travel and is already capturing the imaginations of visitors to the airport.

Be sure to check out the guide to the new terminal for a preview of the new passenger experience and, if you’re in Singapore this month, why not visit the Terminal 4 Open House, which is running between the 7th and 20th August.
