A recent feature in the Canadian press charts the rapid growth of Avidbots over the last two years – from a small, Waterloo-based startup with a dozen employees to our current 40,000 sqft. home in Kitchener, where we employ over 100 engineers and robotics experts.
“Sales have more than tripled year over year and there are now hundreds of Avidbots Neo robots scrubbing floors on five continents”, says the report in the Waterloo Region Record. “We’re solving a very, very real problem that people are wanting to pay in advance for,” said co-founder and chief executive officer Faizan Sheikh. “A lot of our sales are pre-booked.”
The feature outlines a number of recent major developments enhancing the corporation’s global reach. They include news of Neo’s imminent deployment at United Arab Emirates University, a new distribution agreement with Japan’s Macnica Inc. and the opening of a regional sales and service office in Hong Kong.
