Having a choice of cleaning systems for your floor cleaning robot is critical to maintaining a safe, clean workplace – especially in warehouses! That’s why we’ve created a new video in which Avidbots Product Manager, Duncan, explains the differences and helps you find the right cleaning system for your floors.
Neo, the floor cleaning robot, is unique in that it is available with three different cleaning system configurations. First, there’s the disc cleaning head, which is typically equipped with a floor pad. As Duncan explains, floor pads are great for facilities that have relatively smooth floors and where debris will be swept up before the robot cleans. Floor pads are also available in a wide variety of materials, and they’re relatively inexpensive.
However, Duncan points out that floor pads have a relatively short lifespan and need to be replaced regularly. And don’t forget, with floor pad cleaning systems, floors need to be swept before the robot cleans.
That’s where Neo’s cylindrical cleaning head comes in. This cleaning system uses two tube-shaped brushes, and in the video, Duncan demonstrates how the brushes simultaneously scrub the floor while also sweeping up light debris and depositing it into a debris bin. Cylindrical cleaning heads are ideal for locations where light debris won’t always be swept up and is likely to be present when the robot is cleaning – such as in a warehouse.
Selecting the correct cleaning system is extremely important to ensure not only that your floors look great, but that you’ve optimized your cleaning process and that you’re maximizing your return on investment. Duncan also explains how the ROI of cylindrical cleaning systems can be better than that of floor pads, despite the brushes’ higher up-front cost. And he explains which applications aren’t well-suited for cylindrical cleaning systems, so you can make the best choice for your facility and the type of cleaning required.
