Scrubby and Sweepy were the first prototypes made by the founders to test their ideas while attending the HAX Accelerator in early 2014. Scrubby was a floor scrubbing robot made by retrofitting an inexpensive floor scrubber with electronics, sensors and motors. Similarly, Sweepy was a floor sweeping robot that integrated an inexpensive floor sweeper. The conclusion from these two prototypes was that an effective cleaning robot would have to be designed from the ground up.
